As announced, on Wednesday 21 June Jessica García Soriano, the ESCAPE coordinator, participated as speaker in the Special Interest Session SIS45 (“The challenges of a future automated transport: how space technologies can decrease costs, increase safety and respond to cyber security threats”) of the 12th ITS European Congress in Strasbourg.

The session was organized by Roberta Mugellesi Dow from the European Space Agency (ESA) and moderated by Fiammetta Diani from the European GNSS Agency (GSA). García Soriano presented the ESCAPE project from a technical point of view, highlighting the points of innovation of the proposed system and its importance in the context of the autonomous driving. The audience demonstrated interest for the presentation, and García Soriano received a good feedback from R. Mugellesi Dow and F. Diani at the end of the session.

Other speakers also presented their projects in the session, all of them aligned with the line of investigation of the ESCAPE project about autonomous driving and positioning for road.
